VOX TURNS TEN
CELEBRATING A DECADE OF IMAGINATIVE, IMMERSIVE CHORAL EXPERIENCES
VOX Cape Town was founded in 2015 with a vision to create fresh, mesmerising choral experiences to enrich the musical life of the Mother City, and to continue the legacy of Barry Smith and the St George’s Singers. Described as “a stand-out on the local music scene”, VOX has since developed a reputation for its imaginative performances of seldom-heard and new choral music in unconventional spaces. Over the past decade, VOX has presented scores of immersive performances in venues around Cape Town, ranging from the intimate to the innovative.
We have a bumper calendar of concerts and events in store as we set our sights firmly on the future! Read more about our plans below, and explore our website to find out more about our singers, our recordings, our community initatives and so on.
