A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols

Every December, VOX Cape Town presents a locally-flavoured adaptation of the famous Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols that was first performed at King’s College, Cambridge, in 1918. Music by Howard Skemptom, Philip Stopford, Peter Gritton, Maike Watson and others will be accompanied by traditional German and Zulu carols.

UCT Summer School: Beethoven

Every January, VOX Cape Town performs at the popular UCT Summer School lecture-demonstration series presented by its patron, Dr Barry Smith. Next year, VOX will be singing the “Elegische Gesang” for choir and string quartet, Op. 118, by Beethoven on the second evening of the series.
